Zach Black Announces String of Fall Shows, Previewing Upcoming Record

Back to News

Zach Black has announced a string of full-band Texas performances for fall 2026, marking his first shows since returning from the studio and offering audiences an early look at material from his upcoming record.

The new live set brings together several eras of Black’s music, with unreleased songs from the forthcoming Zach Black record appearing alongside revived favorites from the Souls Extolled catalog and a handful of carefully chosen covers. The shows will also feature new Zach Black merchandise available for the first time this fall.

The run begins Sunday, October 11, with an appearance at Frights and Sounds Music Fest in San Marcos, Texas. The festival performance will mark the full band’s first opportunity to bring material from the new studio sessions to the stage.

A Farewell to Valhalla

On Monday, October 19, Zach Black returns to Valhalla in Austin for a particularly meaningful show during the venue’s final week. Black and Souls Extolled have a long history with the Red River venue, including numerous headlining performances, album-release shows, and years of memories made on its stage.

The October 19 event will be free to attend, with a suggested donation benefiting the Valhalla staff as the longtime Austin music venue prepares to close its doors. Valhalla will also extend its normally Sunday-only industry-night drink pricing to Monday for the occasion.

For Black, the show represents both a farewell to a venue that played an important role in his musical history and the beginning of the next chapter.

Continuing the Run

The fall run continues on Saturday, November 14, when Zach Black and the band return to San Marcos for a show with Hatewaker at Jax Roadhouse, bringing the new material into a heavier setting alongside one of the area’s established metal acts.

The performances arrive as Black continues work on his upcoming record following a return to the studio this year. Rather than leaving his previous catalog behind, the new live show is designed to connect those different chapters: new Zach Black songs, fan-favorite Souls Extolled material, and the music that helped shape the project along the way.
